Amazing Thailand Golf Paradise of 2010

Yesterday, Bangkok Airways, in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand – Pattaya and Phuket Offices, The East Coast Golf Courses Management Association, and the Phuket Golf Association of Bangkok Travel Club Co., Ltd. (BTC), held a press conference at Bangpra International Golf Club in Sriracha. They announced the launching of the “Amazing Thailand Golf Paradise of 2010” campaign, which aims to promote tourism between Thailand’s famous seaboards, namely Pattaya and Phuket.

Suwanna-chai Rithi-rak, a Tourism Authority of Thailand official, explained the objective of the campaign, stating that Thailand’s tourism is in critical condition; therefore TAT has created a roadmap of activities for immediate relief. TAT of Pattaya and Phuket have teamed up, based on a mutual agreement, to jointly promote to the two coastal resorts with a focus on sports. There is great potential in the sport of golf, which will motivate golfers who reside in Pattaya and Phuket to travel between these two locals to experience some of Thailand’s most beautiful golf courses.

Moreover, Bangkok Airways and the Bangkok Travel Club will play an important role. Bangkok Airways offers flights between Pattaya and Phuket, and the Bangkok Travel Club has arranged a unique package called the “Amazing Thailand Golf Paradise of 2010”, which includes many of the major golf courses in Phuket and Pattaya, which are known by golfers as the home of many beautiful golf courses, as well as their tourist attractions.
