SALA Phuket accepts Wine Spectator Award of Excellence 2010

August 11, 2010

SALA Phuket Restaurant has joined the prestigious list of restaurants who can proudly boast recognition from the Wine Spectator 2010.

The already renowned Phuket restaurant achieved this accolade by having an exquisite wine offering which has been recognized as being one of the most outstanding wine lists on the island. Wine Spectator is the most widely read wine magazine in the world and recently awarded SALA Phuket Restaurant based on their extensive wine list, enticing dinner menu and designated wine program.

Each wine list must pass rigorous evaluations, demonstrating that the wine selection, service, cuisine and ambience are worthy of the program’s recognition. Wine Spectator’s Restaurant Awards recognize restaurants whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine connoisseurs.

The Award of Excellence recognizes SALA Phuket Restaurant for their commitment to a fine wine list and a wide selection of quality producers, along with its exceptional accompaniment to the menu both on value and style.

Many foodies  enjoy a well designed restaurant, but when it comes down to it- it’s what is on the plate that matters. Sala Phuket Restaurant in Thailand doesn’t want to distract you from what’s happening on your taste buds, but they do want to create a space that lends the whole experience.

The beachfront location has an open air pavilion for those balmy tropical days and offers unadulterated views of the seafront, while inside the modern interior and elegant décor set the tone for a peaceful dinner, not too much glitz, or too much “busyness” to distract from a beautiful meal.

The most unique touch is the floral etched ceiling and bar, that adds that extra touch of femininity and artistry that makes this restaurant stand out from all the rest. While the interior is indeed elegant, there’s still an aspect of “beach life” that steers away from having a meal that feels stuffy and over the top. If you’ve been saving that special dress for a night out while on vacation in Phuket, you can certainly wear it here…but if you’re still sun-kissed and “beach blown,” you don’t have to worry about being underdressed.
