The Brunch of Your Life

November 3, 2010

Mai Khao Beach situated in Northern Phuket will play host to the first annual North Phuket Culinary Arts Festival, from December 3rd – 5th, 2010.

Guests will create culinary history by dining at Phuket’s longest dinner table, experience a sunset over the Andaman accompanied by the eclectic tunes of international DJ, Charles Schillings and be treated to a spectacular evening of Jim Thompson’s new summer silk collection shown off by top models.  The culinary weekend will conclude at JW Marriott with an amazing Sunday Brunch experience.

The North Phuket Culinary Arts Festival is organised by five northern Phuket resorts situated on Mai Khao, the island’s longest beach, with each resort hosting different events over three days. The festival celebrates the culinary talent and attractions of this unspoiled part of Phuket.

On Friday, December 3rd SALA Phuket Resort & Spa joins forces with the Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa to invite everyone to be their guest and create history by dining at Phuket’s longest dining table. Spanning over 300 meters between both luxury resorts, the spectacular culinary setting marks the milestone for the beginning of this year’s event. Dine on Phuket regional cuisine and indulge yourselves with complimentary beer, wine & refreshments whilst enjoying great entertainment and modern art by local artists, on this once in a life time opportunity.

On Saturday, December 4th, guests will be able to chill out and mingle at Infinity Sunsets by Anantara Phuket Villas and Aleenta Resort & Spa.  Guests can sample cocktails created by international mixologists; enjoy a unique barefoot coastal BBQ served in the infinity pool or snack on delicious Thai food from the markets stalls located on the lawn, and groove to the beats of DJ Charles Schillings until late.

Charles Schillings is known for mixing eclectic and melodic House with Rock, Electro-Funk, Soul, Groove and Jazz. He has played at Rex and the Queen (Paris), Le Café d’Anvers (Belgium), Lotus (New-York) and Jet Set (Moscow). His resume includes sound design for Karl Lagerfeld and French brand Céline since 2006 along with spinning for special events for Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton, Chopard and Armani.

Thailand’s famous Jim Thompson will also be showcasing their new beach and coastal wear collection in a never before seen fashion show. Named after the man who single handedly revolutionized Thailand’s silk industry, the new collection turns the traditionally functional fabrics into the latest in fashion beyond the realm of existing habitual motifs and colours.

On Sunday December 5th, the JW Marriott Phuket Resort presents ‘The Brunch of Your Life’; a bounty of sophisticated tastes from the JW Marriott’s 14 kitchens served up on pristine Mai Khao beach.

Bring the family, celebrate Father’s Day and indulge in an elegant brunch offering the very best dishes from Cucina Italian, Andaman Steak & Seafood Grill, Kabuki Japanese Cuisine, Ginja Thai and much more.   This magnificent brunch experience will be held in the Marriott Café and Lotus Pavilion on the beachfront.

Four unique beverage stations featuring bubbles champagne bar, classic to cool cocktails bar, the iced beer boat and a hand blended juice bar will satisfy your every desire.  Kids will also be entertained with a host of free activities in and around the pool.

‘The Brunch of Your Life’ is the perfect end to a wonderful weekend of world class indulgences and a true taste of Northern Phuket.
