British Polo Day in Thailand

February 7, 2012

Pattaya-based Thai Polo & Equestrian Club will celebrate the first British Polo Day in Thailand on February 18 with matches featuring local and foreign teams competing for the Charity Cup that is being played for the first time.

All matches will be played at the club ground in Pattaya at 2pm with Oxford taking on British Army in the opening action. Thai Polo Club is the other team in contention.

Sponsored by Coutts, the action on the field will be followed by high tea and assado meat from the grill accompanied by revellery, lots of dancing and music.

Thai Polo & Equestrian Club was founded in 2005 by Harald Link and Nunthinee Tanner. It occupies over 200 hectares and boasts two standard-size polo fields with spectator stands, a Chukka Bar with thatched roof, and a clubhouse overlooking the Gulf of Thailand.
