The Best Beaches on Samui

September 2, 2013

If you are dreaming of a beach-holiday in one of our vacation clubs this winter, then why not consider one of our luxury properties on the idyllic island of Koh Samui?

Just the kind of beaches you find in the ads. Coconut trees swaying over fine, white sand, lapped by clear, clear water. Some virtually deserted, others providing everything you need... Get a massage, have your hair braided, buy barbecued chicken, sarongs, get to know the locals. Dine in candlelight on beachmats, lounge with a drink on triangular cushions, or simply doze off and chill out...

The island off the east coast of Thailand is one of the premier destinations for sun-loving holidaymakers in the world, with gorgeous beaches to explore on all sides.

In fact, there are far too many to choose from and it would be virtually impossible to visit them all during a break using our holiday ownership scheme.

So we at Absolute, global leaders in vacation clubs in Thailand, have decided to list our top five beaches to help you decide where to head to for a memorable day lounging on the beautiful white sand before diving into the aqua blue sea.

1.Bangrak Beach, also known as Big Buddha Beach because of the huge Buddha statute located there, is a stunning 4km-long beach situated in the north east coast of the island. The beach is unspoiled and laid back, and there is a wonderful fish market in nearby Bangrak which provides the local restaurants with outstanding seafood.

2.Chaweng Noi Beach is just south of the more famous Chaweng Beach, the island’s longest stretch of sand situated on the east coast. Chaweng Noi is quieter and more peaceful than neighboring Chaweng, but just as beautiful. Visit this stunning beach from your holiday ownership property for a romantic dinner in a beachside restaurant.

3.Maenam Beach is another unspoiled beach in the north of the island, far away from the full moon parties popular on other more mainstream beaches. Here you will find a haven of tranquility, as well as lots of delicious seafood restaurants in which to dine.

4.Bo Phut Beach is also in the north of Koh Samui, a short distance from Big Buddha Beach. It has a quaint fisherman’s village and a picturesque stretch of sand fringed with palm trees.

5.We have already mentioned Chaweng Noi Beach but no list of must-see beaches would be complete without acknowledging Chaweng Beach, which is the nearest stretch of sand to our Absolute Q Signature Resort & Spa. Chaweng is the most popular beach in Koh Samui, and will appeal to every taste.
